Lauren C. DeVantier, DDS
Welcome to Dental Care Associates. I was born in Niagara Falls, New York and raised in the Town of Wheatfield. After graduating third in my high school class, I attended the State University College of New York at Geneseo on an S&H Foundation Scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1977 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.
I spent the next year in Rochester, New York preparing for a career in Medical Technology. After returning to the Niagara Falls area in 1978, I worked at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, but a deep desire for more personal contact with patients compelled me to pursue a career in Dentistry.
I attended and graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. I completed my Residency training at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Buffalo, New York, and then practiced General Dentistry in Hamburg, New York for three years. I came back to Niagara Falls in 1989 to join the Dental Care Associates team.
Professionally I am a member of:
- American Dental Association
- New York State Dental Association
- Eighth District Dental Society
- Niagara County Dental Society
I am an Associate Clinical Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, guiding dental students through learning the skills of my profession. I reside in Amherst, NY and enjoy in my spare time cooking, theater, the Buffalo Sabres and quilting, for which I have won local, regional and national awards.
